Monday is my Birthday! Many people don't make past the age of 21. I thank God for allowing me to year 32. The road to year 32, has not been a cake walk. Growing up in a negative environment, has impacted my life. So today, I have decided to do something for myself, and write a blog. I have imagined this blog for years. I have written for years and read a countless number of books. So, today I am welcoming you to my world. My world of fun, chaos, love and adventure. I hope you all join me in this journey!
Many  doubted I would ever succeed in life, but I have proven them wrong on so many levels. Some said I wouldn’t graduate high school, but I did. My educational pursuits went even further with me receiving a Bachelor’s degree, followed by a Master’s degree in Public Administration. Many tried to destroy her self-esteem, not knowing that my personal pride and strong self-worth would one day help her overcome the many obstacles she faced throughout her childhood and most of my adult life.
I overcomes a life of  shame, single parent home, self-esteem issues, verbal abuse, test anxiety and even a kidnapping – all while keeping my dreams of becoming more than her situation alive.
Time goes faster and faster the older you get, at least that's what I always believed to be true. Birthdays go from month long celebrations to week long celebrations to weekend long celebrations to just the day. And the pressure to do anything "big" on the "big" day disappears with age.

This month, blogs are focused on positivity. I have learned so much over the last 31 years.

Here are my 5 Birthday tips………………

1.Have fun, enjoy life and make the most of the time in your life where you have few responsibilities.  Growing up, I was never told, I was beautiful. You are young and beautiful, even if you don’t feel like it. One day, you’ll look back and realize that your body shape is the perfect shape for YOU. Focus on feeling healthy and strong rather than worrying about numbers on scales or measuring tapes. Wear your body with pride.
2.It’s okay to be different. Don’t hide behind it or let it stop you from going outside your comfort zone, but acknowledge the importance of quiet strength and take the time for being alone when you need to without feeling guilty about it.
3.Push past your discomfort, growing your discomfort method. Put yourself out there, and be OK with not knowing if people will accept you.
4.Stick to a habit, not listening to the negative self-talk that normally holds you back. Stick to it some more, and learn to trust yourself.
5.Learn through repeated attempts that it’s OK to fail, that you can be OK in failure.
Happy Birthday to me!

My name is Tristan Jackson, through my website I want to inspire you!! My purpose for this blog's, websites, and book's  is to inspire people to achieve their dreams in spite of adversity.  I will be posting motivational quotes, bible verses, and college tips!!

    My story:
My life is a story of faith, hope, perseverance, survival, love, heartbreak, compassion, triumphs, and failures. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter, sorrow, sun or rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas!! I was raised in a small low income neighborhood near downtown Houston called Fourth Ward   I will never forget where I came from, Fourth Ward, but I just tend to set my mind more on where I’m headed. I have learned that you must think outside of the box to obtain greatness.

As we go through life, it’s easy to get caught up in the status quo. You start to believe that average is acceptable and that since others are settling, then it’s ok to do the same. As soon as you notice this start to happen, something must be done to snap out of it!
