Hello October! Yes, we made it to the BEST Month ever! I love October, because it’s my Birthday month! This month blogs and focus on how to stay positive in a negative environment. Its fits, right in line with my new book. Wake-Pray-Hustle-Repeat! Let’s be real, it’s hard to stay positive with so much negativity. I grew up in a very negative environment. So I had to learned to see the positive in every situation.

It's easy to be positive in a positive environment. It's when things are emotionally draining and negative that you're challenged to behave differently. But you have the opportunity to be the beacon of light for others around you. Positive energy catches on just as quickly as negative energy. Sometimes people are simply stuck in a habit or pattern of behavior and are accustomed to acting a certain way. It takes some time and effort as well as a commitment to do something differently to create sustainable change.
  1. Speak positive affirmations. Words have a creative force. Regardless of what is going on around you, speak out loud what you want to happen. Write out an affirmation that you can say daily and put it up somewhere that you are sure to see it every day, like your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, desk at work. You can also post affirmations on your phone.
  2. Get a support team. Having the right team in place to help you is crucial to your success. You will be amazed at what you and your team can accomplish when you are all motivated and working toward the same goal. It is worth the effort to put the right support system in place. Make a list of some winning people in your circle that you can partner with, exchange ideas with and who can help you get things done. Go to networking events. Find groups online via your social media.
  3. Make your conversations constructive, meaning that the conversation should be positive, meaningful and beneficial. What’s the point or purpose of the conversation? Is it to hurt or help? And at the end of the conversation, what would you like to have happen? Is there an action step to take? Constructive conversations feel good. They are empowering and have the effect of leaving people a little better off from having participated in them. Become the kind of person who takes your time seriously and who takes your words seriously.
The Takeaway
It is so easy in today’s society to get drawn into the darker, more depressing circumstances of life. The best way to combat this and stay positive is to follow these tips. Don’t let the negativity get to you, and to try to overcome it in the most positive ways possible.

My name is Tristan Jackson, through my website I want to inspire you!! My purpose for this blog's, websites, and book's  is to inspire people to achieve their dreams in spite of adversity.  I will be posting motivational quotes, bible verses, and college tips!!

    My story:
My life is a story of faith, hope, perseverance, survival, love, heartbreak, compassion, triumphs, and failures. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter, sorrow, sun or rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas!! I was raised in a small low income neighborhood near downtown Houston called Fourth Ward   I will never forget where I came from, Fourth Ward, but I just tend to set my mind more on where I’m headed. I have learned that you must think outside of the box to obtain greatness.

As we go through life, it’s easy to get caught up in the status quo. You start to believe that average is acceptable and that since others are settling, then it’s ok to do the same. As soon as you notice this start to happen, something must be done to snap out of it!
