What Our Day Stuck in the Airport Taught US About Life.. Delayed Not Denied….

 Hello June. It recently took us 9 hours to get from New York to Houston, no, I didn’t drive. Or walk. While stuck in an airport for nearly 9hrs we had plenty of time to think about what lessons a long flight delay had taught me. We had a great time in New York. It was one of the best trips. Contrary to popular belief, traveling can teach you more than a classroom, job, or relationship ever will. The lessons are delayed not denied. Delay after delay, we finally made home. Here is we learned from the delay.

Do you sometimes wonder WHEN God’s promises will manifest in your life? Delays are a strategic tactic of the devil. It’s during the delays that he seeks to fill your mind with doubt. He wants you to ever so slowly lose your trust in God’s willingness to answer your prayer.  He wants you to become hopeless, thinking that having a baby will never happen for you. delayed but not denied The devil wants you to believe that God’s promises of fertility are not true for you. He wants you distracted, stressed out, and anxious about your future rather than resting in knowing that God’s promises are true for you.

Through the process, we learned to have the following:
1.Patience is a learned skill: Everyone who has ever traveled has learned that patience is a trial-by-error learning experience, and usually requires years and years of practice. Airports are where you must put that practice into action. If we have any hope of making it through security, delays, boarding, de-boarding, the baby screaming in the row next to us, the fat guy with the sandwich that stinks up the whole plane, and the teenager who doesn’t understand that hearing impairment is a real thing, we must learn patience. It’s not easy having no control over something or having to wait to hear back about something important, but life in infinity better and less stressful when patience has been learned. Keep praying and working your dreams.

2. Don’t overlook the journey: Contrary to what many believe, the journey to a destination is just as important as the destination itself. Rushing through life, just as in an airport, will make for a negative experience and an overall negative attitude. If you can maybe just arrive a little earlier, you can go get that frozen yogurt, or brows around the shops of life, instead of just running past something potentially really cool only because you have to get somewhere ASAP. The coolest things in life find you, but if you are too busy rushing around trying to make your next flight, you’ll probably miss them. People often forget that the journey to the destination is still a part of the adventure. Your trip starts from the moment that you leave your house and head to the airport.

Final Words
There are not many people who love the airport as much as I do, but if you look at it from the outside, you can learn a number of valuable life lessons. Like it or not, the airport is a fascinating place, and you will never have the same experience twice. It isn’t always easy, but the journey to your destination can be just as much of an adventure as the adventure itself. The best way is to continue to hold on to His promises by speaking them daily. Speak them with gratitude, as if they have already been granted to you.As you speak them, you build your faith (Romans 10:17). As you speak them, your mind stays focused on Jesus and His loving power instead of the turmoil of your circumstances. As you speak them, you’ll find it easier to let go of the problem and let God solve it. Delay Doesn't Mean Denial. Even though you’ve been waiting for an answer. a manifestation. . .don’t give up, give in, back up, back down or never quit expecting! Never give up! Keep moving the Dream!
