The business shower was held on May 4, 2019. The event was very successful! We are planning to take it on the road Fall.2019. We had a packed house! So much knowledge and inspiration was in the room.
A meme has quickly been passed around on Facebook that says instead of throwing a baby shower, support small business by hosting a business shower. When a friend starts a new business, help them celebrate and bring resources to help! In today’s growing gig economy and entrepreneur climate, this is a wonderful idea! Here are a few tips if you want to host a business shower:

Don’t ask your friend to take time away from their to launch date in order to clean. Hire a cleaning service for their home, or even better, find a public location and post signs: “Welcome to Our New Business Party!” Give your friend a leg up on advertising and get people talking!
If the business is online only, create a public Facebook event so that you and your friends can share the good news about a soon-to-be-born business! Everyone likes to celebrate good news and you’ll help drive anticipation for launch day.
Shower gifts can be office supplies, colorful pens, notecards, envelopes or quality printer paper.
Don't forget the entrepreneur! Massage gift certificates, healthy snack foods and an essential oil diffuser with relaxing scents will help the new business owner unwind after a hectic launch.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas!! I was raised in a small low income neighborhood near downtown Houston called Fourth Ward I will never forget where I came from, Fourth Ward, but I just tend to set my mind more on where I’m headed. I have learned that you must think outside of the box to obtain greatness.

As we go through life, it’s easy to get caught up in the status quo. You start to believe that average is acceptable and that since others are settling, then it’s ok to do the same. As soon as you notice this start to happen, something must be done to snap out of it!
