Wow September is almost over. For the last month, I have taken time to invest in myself and my brand.  I took the leap of faith got my bio, updated my website, updated pictures and got a mentor. I took the leap of faith and started sending emails out. You must take risks and trust God through this process.
This week’s blogs focus on investing in yourself. Great leaders are continually learning because they know the only way people build lasting success. Investing in yourself is one of the best return on investment. Whether it’s investing in learning a new skill, developing yourself personally or professionally, tapping into your creativity or hiring a coach, you need to give to yourself first before you can give to others. It is our responsibility to take the time to develop our gifts and talents, so we can best serve others.
Why is to so important to invest in yourself. Here are the top 3 reasons, why you should invest in yourself.
1. We all have experiences throughout our life that shape us, for better or for worse. If we don’t unpack those unconscious negative thoughts, we repeat toxic patterns of behavior. This can hold you back in your career if you don’t believe you deserve success. Negative self-worth can keep you tied to unhealthy friendships or romantic relationships, or it could lead you to believe that taking care of yourself and your body isn’t worth it. The narrative you tell yourself can prevent you from making positive life changes.
2.  Life is more than just waking up in the morning and going to work. Sure, you earn enough (sometimes even more than enough) to feed you and your family and to pay for the rest of your wants and needs. But how do you feel at the end of each day? Do you sleep peacefully knowing that you have contributed to the greater good, or do you toss and turn in bed, wondering when you’re going to start feeling fulfilled? Through investing in yourself, and your brand you find out what your natural gifts are and you have a clearer vision of what you should really be doing.

3.You’re worth it. The best reason of all? You’re worth it. Investing in yourself and brand will ultimately pay off. People will take notice and jump on the bandwagon.
The return on your investment:
If you feel like you’ve been spending way too much money trying to project a certain image, re-think what it means to be successful and put-together. There are no clothes, cars, or other external trappings out there that will bring you long-term confidence. There is no out-of-your-price-range condo that will make it easier to make new friends. Investing in yourself emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially, will allow you to become the best version of yourself. When you are the best version of yourself, you will be an attraction magnet to others. The more your pour into your career, relationships, passions, and health, the happier you’ll be. Invest in yourself — it’ll pay dividends!

This week's blog and topics will focus on Believing in yourself. Please don't be surprise when, you start a business that people will run to support! But trust me, if you believe in yourself and trust God through the process. You will make it. Get with the right team! Be ready to here the word NO! Trust God! Believing, everyone has to believe in something, whether it’s anything religious or anything like that.
Well I think everyone has to believe in something important, but also is the key to success and that is to consider yourself. Believing in yourself means having pride and confidence in yourself. In younger days, I was always doubted myself and said I could never do that or could never do this. When you don’t believe in yourself you start losing self-respect, and basically don’t give any respect to anyone.
There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be. That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down. But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.
There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them. As I have learned here are ways to believe in yourself:
1.Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are. So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be. Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.
2.Push past your discomfort, growing your discomfort method. Put yourself out there, and be OK with not knowing if people will accept you.
3.Stick to a habit, not listening to the negative self-talk that normally holds you back. Stick to it some more, and learn to trust yourself.
4.Learn through repeated attempts that it’s OK to fail, that you can be OK in failure.
Learn through repeated experiments that you are stronger than you think, that you are more capable and more tolerant of discomfort than you think.
And in this practice, you will find yourself. And realize that you were great all along.

My name is Tristan Jackson, through my website I want to inspire you!! My purpose for this blog's, websites, and book's  is to inspire people to achieve their dreams in spite of adversity.  I will be posting motivational quotes, bible verses, and college tips!!

    My story:
My life is a story of faith, hope, perseverance, survival, love, heartbreak, compassion, triumphs, and failures. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter, sorrow, sun or rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas!! I was raised in a small low income neighborhood near downtown Houston called Fourth Ward   I will never forget where I came from, Fourth Ward, but I just tend to set my mind more on where I’m headed. I have learned that you must think outside of the box to obtain greatness.

As we go through life, it’s easy to get caught up in the status quo. You start to believe that average is acceptable and that since others are settling, then it’s ok to do the same. As soon as you notice this start to happen, something must be done to snap out of it!
